In layman’s terms, A CRM is a time saver and the one-stop shop for online buying signals and lead intelligence.
It can easily take you from unorganized sales flunky to sales superhero; if you use it properly.
Most CRM systems are hard to use and have huge adoption rate issues. Heck, many companies don’t even use a CRM in their sales process.

Why And When Should You Use The HubSpot CRM?
I love the HubSpot CRM because it does a lot of the work for me however, it may not be a right fit for you and your company.
How do you know?
For most of our clients and Hubcast listeners, it’s pretty simple. There are always circumstances that are out of the norm, but this is what we typically say:
The HubSpot CRM may be a right fit for you if:
- You have a team of 25 sales reps or smaller
- You are using the HubSpot Marketing side and want to help align your sales and marketing teams
- You have minimal budget and want a CRM that does a lot of the heavy lifting
- You do not need a ton of add-on apps for additional functionality
If these don’t apply to you, then it may not be a good fit for you or your company. Use your own best judgment.
How Does The HubSpot CRM Sequences Feature Save You Time?
If you want to have a set of email templates which automatically flow to your leads and customers, then sequences are what you have been looking for.
This feature is the little cousin to the Marketer’s Workflow tool.

As a sales professional, you have a lot of things you are focused on. So many leads, existing clients, meetings, proposals, and more.
While it’s easy to forget things and get bogged down, Sequences helps you, the salesperson, free up some of your brain power by automating email sends and tasks you need to achieve during your sales process.

How Does The HubSpot CRM Templates Feature Save You Time?
This is one of the most powerful, time-saving tools a sales professional can add to their arsenal.
HubSpot templates alone has saved me hundreds of hours.
I don’t know how many hours I’ve spent writing and rewriting what is basically the same email over and over again, with the only difference being who it gets sent to. Being able to take an email template that is 80% finished, and adding 20% customization for 1-to-1 messaging, is amazing.
I even add in little sections to remind myself:
- “Customize this part”
- “Add three relevant articles here”
- “Use their industry data points here”
Doing so really takes my emails to the next level.

How Can I Learn More About Leads & Customers with the HubSpot CRM Documents Feature?
Are you looking for a single library for all your sales documents? Want to learn more about how your leads and customers interact with a proposal or invoice?
Then you just might want to start using the HubSpot CRM Documents feature.
This is what HubSpot says you can do with documents:
- Create a unified library, accessible to your whole team
- Know the second a prospect opens a document
- Identify the documents that close deals
Those sound great to me. Heck, they probably sound great to any sales team.
The Documents feature will allow you to get aggregate data about how your sales content is helping to move your sales process forward. Also you’ll find out how often your team is using different pieces of content, and how your prospects are engaging with it.
By knowing which content is influencing closed deals, you can surface the best-performing documents and make your entire sales team more effective.
In other words, know what the heck is going on and be able to make smart sales decisions moving forward.

How Much Does HubSpot Sequences, Templates, And Documents Cost?
You can get a limited version of each of these in the HubSpot CRM free version; however, you will quickly run out of the free options.
To get the full version of these tools, you will want to sign up for the Sales Software Pro version. The Sales Pro will cost all users $50 per month. This includes all Gmail, Outlook, and HubSpot CRM connected users.
