SideKick add contact details functionality expanded
You can add more company information but you can not add personal contact information after the contact has been added to your HubSpot CRM. It would make life a ton easier if you could add it right in your SideKick panel in gmail and skip the step of going to your CRM.
[Coming soon] Sunsetting “Default” Setting from Properties Screen
As you may have heard, HubSpot is working on a redesigned properties screen that is currently in beta:
The new screen includes much needed functionality to sort properties, search for them, show you an author name, and some updates to the actual property creation and editing. As part of this release, HubSpot conducted many user tests with customers that showed them there is a feature in the old screen that has been misunderstood and could often lead to mistakes. That is the capability to set a property value as a default, which would set that option for any contacts who don’t have any values known for the property.
As a result of this confusion and additional complexity it brings, HubSpot is removing the option to set a default property from the interface.
If you have a use case that requires you to stamp all contacts who don’t have a value for a specific property, please feel free to use HubSpot’s Workflows App.
HubSpot Tips & Tricks
As I was surfing through ideas.hubspot.com looking for potential wishlist items, I realized that many of the wishlist items are features that already exist. As a matter of fact there were well over 100 items that already are in the HubSpot software. So that got me thinking… I need to teach some of these easily hidden/forgotten aka unknown HubSpot features.
