Virtual Reality for Content Marketers: Is it Really Going to Stick? (Video)
I’m a bit amused by the diversity of opinions when it comes to the impact Virtual Reality(VR) will have on businesses going forward. Fact is, many marketers and certainly business owners doubt its merits, especially in the short term.
For these doubters, I have one simple question:
Have you actually experienced VR?
Recently, I purchased my first pair of Oculus Rift VR Goggles, and if I may be frank, the results were nothing short of astounding. I was blown away. My kids were blown away.
And as a family, we laughed and laughed and laughed.
In fact, watch the following video to see some clips of this experience:
At my swimming pool company, River Pools, VR is a major initiative for us in 2017. In fact, our motto is we want customers to “swim in our pools before they swim in our pools.”
Of course, the way they’re going to do this is through VR, and our Sales Team is already licking their chops at the impact this could have on sales appointments and closing rates.
So as you look forward to 2017 and your content sales/marketing efforts, is VR a part of your discussion? Are you saying as a company, “Is it possible for us to *show* it better.”
VR allows all of us to show it better.
